This past week has been filled with things that just haven't been quite what we expected. You may all disregard the previous pictures of a condo that will belong to someone else. We just couldn't come to an agreement with the owner. He had a very specific idea of what he wanted out of the deal and to do that we would end up paying way more than what we verbally agreed on. By the time he wrote up a contract and we saw that he was trying to get us to pay for WAY more than what we verbally agreed on, we backed out. There was another condo in the same complex, but the carpet was horrible. We put an offer on that unit, but are asking for a carpet allowance. Right now, we are still negotiating with the owners. They live out of state and say that the carpet was just put in 3 years ago. They have been renting it and apparently the renters have completely destroyed it because the carpet is just horrible. We are a little frustrated because they are just taking so long with every step of the process. Hopfully we will hear if they accepted our counter offer on Monday. We are waiting on pins and needles.
I went over to one of my friends in the ward. She had set up a slip'n slide for the kids. It was tons of fun while we were there. Now, I am not used to keeping track of glasses. I left Meg's glasses on top of the car. Well, you all can basically fill in the rest of the story. After we got home I tried to find them and realized where I had left them. We retraced our route searching the roads for the glasses. We found them on Highway 89. They were completely smashed and broken and I could only find the frames...no lenses. It is just a sickening story. Well, thankfully we payed the extra $20 for the warrenty and we will be driving to Salt Lake to get a replacement pair. I am going to get used to keeping track of those things. Also thankfully, her insurance covered pair was ready the very day that I broke the other ones. Hopefully our next post is filled with things that went completely right this next week.

Absolutely adorable Meg!
Sorry about the condo. The glasses thing sounds like something I would do. I'm so forgetful in drives Amy nuts.
That stinks about the condo. How frustrating. I think the whole process of buying sounds horribly long and stressful. But hopefully it will all be worth it.
