Happy Birthday Meg

It has been too long since I have posted. I have much to update, but for now I will just post about Meg's Birthday. My beautiful baby is four years old. I can't believe it. It has passed in the blink of an eye. If I had the choice to rewind and get to start all over again with her I would. It has been a dream come true to be her mom.

Meg really associates birthdays with birthday parties. There aren't a lot of girls her age in our ward and definitely none in the neighborhood. We decided to have a Marchant birthday party for Meg. It was so fun for all of us to get together. It had been way too long since we all got together. Meg was so excited for everyone to come that she could hardly stand it.

Here are all of the attendees.

Kory and Charisse

Brian and Michelle

Andy and Natalie

Adin, Meg, Kallie and Brian

I made a pinata for the party. I wanted it to be super strong so that all of the adults could take turns hitting it too. For about a week before the party, I would put two layers of paste/paper on the pinata everyday. I was really worried it wouldn't be strong enough, but it was. I had to post this picture because this is seconds before Brian both broke the bat and pulled a muscle in his arm. Little Brian was in charge of the pinata string. He was so cute. He looked so mischieveous over there.

Of course, Meg wanted a princess cake.
On her actual birthday, Grandma and Grandpa Droubay stopped by to see Meg open her presents and have some cake. This is the cake that I wanted Meg to have. I had it planned forever.

Meg got a princess bike which she absolutely loves and cruises around the cul de sac on it. She thinks that she can ride as fast as a car.

She had a little trouble at first because on her tricycle you could push the wheels backwards. On her bike if she pushes them backward it works like brakes.

This is the doll house that I made for Meg. Brian didn't think there was any way that I would pull it off when I told him about it. I was glad when he was impressed. Meg found it the day before her birthday. I had hid it in a closet in the laundry room where she thinks ghosts live. Apparently she was filling brave one day because she came walking out with some of the new barbies and asked if they were for her. I didn't want to ruin the surprise so I told her it was a present for Lucy (it was the first thing I could think of). She was so mad at me the rest of the day that I would get such a nice present for Lucy and not for her. When she opened it she screamed because she was so excited.

Happy Fourth Birthday to our sweet, imaginative, beautiful girl. We love you!!

Hey guys, i was just reading your blog. Mike and Meg are similar! Mike was diagnosed as legally blind in on eye at about the same age. I have the cutest picture of him in grade school with huge coke bottle glasses. After grade school he refused to wear glasses anymore. He says between the two eyes he can see just fine. Taking the drivers eye test is always funny though. It always involves a little bit of lying. Hope you are doing well
