WE'RE BACK!!!!

It seems like it has been so long. For a couple weeks we didn't have internet with the move. We got it at the begining of this week, but I have been super busy on a project I will show you later.

We are adjusting to the new place. Brian still isn't living with us. Today is his last day as a Social Worker. As of now, it is 8:00 pm and I just got off the phone with him and he doesn't know when he will be leaving work. He is just such a perfectionist that he doesn't want to leave anything undone. He will have one week off and then will start the begining of his never ending program :0)
For the last couple weeks we have been unpacking and settling in. Here are a few pictures that were taken since I last posted.
Right before we moved I wanted to take Meg to a drive in movie. It isn't something you can do most places. We saw Wall-E and she is still talking about it. She thought it was so fun. I am not sure if she like the movie or the junk food more.
I wanted to take a picture of the kids by our old house. I don't think either of them will remember much about it, but at least they will be able to see where they lived.

Meg is LOVING the swimming pool litterally 20 yards from her front door. The only problem with it is that she wants to go every day. It's hard for me to go alone with both kids because Meg wants to stay in the pool and play and Adin thinks it is great to run around on the deck (grrr). One time Adin climbed off the steps and out of the pool to chase a dog that someone brought. I told Meg to stay on the steps and ran to get him. A few steps away I turned around to check her and she wasn't on the steps anymore. She says she slipped off. After that experience I am much more hesitant to go by myself.
Meg has been my best pal these last few weeks. It's funny because she is only four but I feel like I have depended on her so much while Brian was away. Not just for help, but just for companionship. I haven't been as excited about putting her to bed at the end of the night as I usually am (I only say excited because by the end of the day I am usually so worn out).
As many of you know, the last 3 weeks have been a Droubay moving extravaganza. Jeff and Amy and Chris and Jeni and me and Brian all moved within a very short period of time. Jeni and I traded kids on our moving days. It is so nice to be down closer to family again so that we actually have someone to watch them. Gabi and Meg are cute together, but Adin and Aliza are cuter. They call each other baby and follow each other everywhere.
Adin has hit a major spurt. He has changed so much in the last few weeks. Everytime Brian comes home for the weekend Adin is saying more words and acting more grown up. All of a sudden, Adin and Meg are playing really well together. Adin thinks he is hilarious and will do all sorts of crazy things to get a laugh out of me or Meg. He has learned to say Meg's name. Yea! Meg has been waiting forevery for that. The first day he said a very clear "Meg" all day long. The next day it changed to Mug. Now it is always "Muggie" It is so adorable. Unfortunately for Meg, this also means he can tell on her. If I am not in the room when Meg hurts him, he will come to me crying saying "Muggie Owie". Then I know that a time out is in order. Meg hasn't learned to lie yet so all I have to do is ask her what she did and she will tell me.
He will now repeat any word that you say. It is crazy how fast that has happened. Meg loves to play a game where she says a word, any word, and then he will repeat it. 75% of the time he gets it perfect.
He came up with the ensamble above all by himself. He loves to wear hats and glasses or mixed combinations of the two. He also likes purses. The other day he went to Walmart with a pink Sleeping Beauty purse with feathers on the handle hanging from the crook of his arm. Brian would have died.
Last but not least, the project that has kept me so busy. Brian and I both really hated the facade on the fireplace. It was such an eyesore in the front room. The reason I decided to do it was because it was a project I thought I could do for really cheap but it would have a lot of impact. There are SOOO many changes we want to make to the condo that I just really wanted a project I could do right now. Thanks to my wonderful brother Brian who had the tools I needed and some extremely handy advice that made is so I could cut perfectly straight lines with a jigsaw, I was able to accomplish this. It was actually more work than I thought and I might be a little prideful about the final results. I think that it drove the kids crazy because it was all I worked on for a few days. I also painted a small spot of the color of paint I thought I wanted on the walls and let's just say that was a complete waste of a gallon of paint. It looked horrible. Our couch is kind of an olive green color and the rest of our decor colors would go with anything. I am open to ideas about paint color. Feel free to list ideas on my comment section because I am clueless right now.

Now that we don't have dial up anymore (YEEEEEAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!), I was able to post this video from B's birthday. I love this video. It is so cute. Just turn off the volume because all you will be able to hear is a not so great singer singing really loudly. :0)

Heather....you are fabulous! I can't believe the fireplace. I'm so proud of you. Little Adin in his hat and glasses reminds me of our Brian when he was little. He always had glasses and hats too. They even look alike with the garb on. I can't wait to see you.

Hey Guys! Your fireplace looks like it came straight from HGTV! Great job. Congratulations on the new home, I know you'll find a way to make it your own. The kids are darling and we can't wait to see you all soon.
