Valentines Day

Meg loves holidays. Ever since Christmas she has been asking what was next. So, I really tried to make Valentines day as special as I could for a little 3 year old. She had to wear red and I was glad that her "Christmas dress" was easily switched to her "Valentines dress."

We made heart sugar cookies together. As usual, she was more interested in eating the cookie dough and icing than she was in making the cookies.

Meg spent hours (literally) creating Valentines for everyone. We didn't actually deliver them to anyone, but she made them for everyone she could think of.

We had a family candlelit Valentines dinner. We ordered a heart pizza from papa murpheys and had everything red and heart shaped.
Meg waited all day to get a Valentine from daddy. After her quiet time she came downstairs with tears in her eyes and said, "Mommy noone got me chocolates for Valentines." I dont' know how she got the idea that she was supposed to get chocolates. Thankfully, I knew that hidden in thel laundry room was Daddy's valentine which included a box of chocolates. He also got her red, white and pink beads to string and make her own necklace. Of course, that required him sitting with her and trying to string beads to make a necklace before going to bed. Luckily, mommy stepped in and got the job done much faster.
