Party weekend!

Well, it was a busy weekend. First, Brian had a work party on Friday night. It was a lot of fun. Brian's coworkers are really funny. The host of the party changed her mind and didn't have people dress up. We were still considering doing it, but the cost of our costumes was the determining factor. We really wanted to save money to get a few pictures for Brian's new office. So there are no really cool pictures of our Goth themed costumes. I will, however, post a picture of Brian's office when we get it all decorated. I know that will be so much more exciting. ;)
Then we had Charisse's bridal shower on Saturday morning. I think that it went really well. Charisse got some really nice gifts. The star of the shower was Charisse's best friend Kristen's game. She video recorded Kory answering some questions that she asked him. Everyone was laughing really hard and everyone said that it was fun to get to see Kory. I can't believe their wedding is only a couple of weeks away. I am really excited for it. Time to start planning the wedding cake.
Finally, we had the Droubay Halloween party Saturday night. Both Brian and I agree that the party was a lot of fun this year. It was a lot of fun to see everyone. We are deprived of seeing family since moving to Ogden. All the kids dressed up and were so cute. As we got into the car after the party Meg said "Mom, that sure was a great party." Brian and I discussed on the way home that one of the hardest parts of living in Ogden is that Meg doesn't have any cousin's or friends to play with. She is the only kid her age in primary too. She had so much fun at the party playing with her cousins. Thanks to Kimber for another fun party. I will post a couple pictures of the kids in their costumes at the party. I plan to do some more cute pictures in their costumes on Halloween so I will post more then.
As for life in Ogden, our police visits should be over for at least a while. The couple that live next door and brought the police last time, had another incident on Wednesday night. Brian and I heard a man outside screaming really angrily and really loud. We got up and looked out all the windows to see if we could see anything. We couldn't see anything and couldn't hear anything so we just kept watching TV (we have now learned that it is safest just to call the police in this instance because the whole incident might have been avoided). Unfortunately about an hour later three police cars pulled up and after some time drug the "boyfriend" out again. It turns out that he did a lot more damage to her this time. The next day, while he was still in jail, she moved everything out of their house and left. We feel so bad for her. I really hope that things turn out better for her because she was such a nice girl. So now, four of the other six town homes are empty again. Maybe we will get someone nice and normal in one of them. I will keep my fingers crossed. Here are the pictures from the party.

Meg is Glenda from the Wizard of Oz. It was totally her idea. She liked her because she had a really poofy dress, extra big wand, and super tall crown. I made the dress and am pretty proud of how it turned out. The best part of all of it is how much Meg loves the costume. When it was all done she stood on a stool in the bathroom for about 20 minutes just staring in front of the mirror blowing kisses to herself and admiring it all. She only got down because I made her.

Adin is Squirt from Finding Nemo. It would have worked out slightly better if he was still crawling because then he would be crawling around like a turtle would. Since crawling is pretty much history he just waddled around exploring everything in Kimber's house. They were both adorable.

Hi mom! The tatoos were bought at the store. They were just some fabric things that were on meshy skin colored fabric. At the begining of October they had full tattooed chest/arms ones with an attached black leather sleeveless jacket. That would have been very cool. They were sold out though.
