Sunday morning at 2:30 am we pulled into our driveway after an 11 hour drive home from a week at Disneyland. The drives there and back were shocking. We expected the worse and the kids were angels. We only had to stop once both ways. I don't know if this break was more needed or if it was the company or what it was but we had a blast. TWO weeks before our trip we invited Charisse and Kory for dinner. Charisse asked when we were going to Disneyland because she was trying to convince Kory to go on some sort of a vactation. Brian and I put the pressure on Kory. ;o) By some miracle, they were both able to get off work on short notice and come the same week as us. Yeah! Brian and I both agree the vacation was so much better because they were there. They did quite a bit of parent swapping with us, were both of our kids' best buddies and were some serious competition (well Kory anyway) on AstroBlasters. Thanks for coming guys!!

This is definately my favorite picture from the trip. We had quite a few people come up to us and comment on what a cute picture it was. Tigger's an expert. He posed the whole thing.
One of the highlights (beside the pirate ride that we had to ride a billion times) for Meg was meeting 5 of the princesses. Usually you only get to meet three but we were at the right place when they were switching some of the more popular ones out so she got to meet almost all of them. That made our hour and a half wait a little more worth it. She met Jasmine, Cinderella, Belle, Pocahontas and Snow White.
Adin was intrigued but very unsure about the princesses. He only got down to meet Belle and just watched Meg for all the others. Brian would tell Meg really goofy questions to ask each princess. Meg didn't know they were really bizarre questions so she asked them all. She asked Pocahontas, "How high does the sycamore grow?" Pocahontas misunderstood her and thought that someone was sick. They had quite the confusing conversation after that.
Meg and Adin's favorite ride in California adventure was Monsters. Adin was very possesive of this car. Anytime another kid wanted to get in with him and Meg he would yell at them. We dragged him away kicking and screaming.
Bug's land is another close favorite of Meg's. That is only counting California Adventure though. She loves Disneyland much more.
My boys.
I just thought this picture was sweet. Adin was very excited to see the Pooh characters. He was trying to pull away from me the whole time in line.
Brian and Kory dominating the ball. They had it flying.
Brian and I are dorks. We didn't plan this beforehand we were both just trying to make really funny faces for the camera. Both of our plans, were to suprise the other one with a crazy face.
We did four days at Disneyland and one day off. We packed our day off tight. We had to go to Farmer's Market in LA. We always do this. Brian and I love the culture of it.
This is a little bit of an inside joke that we had to post for Kory's pleasure.

I am not sure that you can even see the Hollywood sign in the background. We did venture onto Hollywood Boulevard to try and see the handprints. They were having a red carpet movie premiere and the handprints were covered in red carpet and blocked by partitions. It was still a pretty wild experience.

Next we made a bold move and went to Venice beach and boardwalk. A lot of the travel guides said it was a good experience so we gave it a try. This was an insance experience. We walked the boardwalk and Brian and I were (pushing two strollers) offered drugs. I don't know if you can see it for sure but there were about 10 stores along the boardwalk and all the sold was marijuana bongs (sp?) About 1/3 of the people we passed on the boardwalk were homeless and high on one drug or another. It was a total hippie culture. I had no idea this was what we were heading into. It will definately be an experience I will never have again because we won't ever be going back.
The Venice beach was actually very nice. It was clean but cold. All of our beach trips in the spring are cold. It was much too cold to swim.
Adin HATED the beach. He didn't like the water and screamed. He did not want a single grain of sand touching his body. He would even cry if he saw it on his pants or shoes. Needless to say I spent the beach time holding him on my lap and protecting him from the sand.It was such a fun trip. I don't have any bad memories from the trip. Everything just worked out and went really well. It's always so hard to say goodbye not knowing when we will be able to have another vacation. Brian and I are vacation lovers. We will always find a way to travel again.

I love Disney! I love seeing the kids with the characters, it's like their meeting some celebrity. You all look very cute with Tigger.
