It has been a busy few weeks. Charisse called me last night and told me to get with the program so I promised an update. I love blogging and I love checking other people's blogs. First bit of ginormous new is that we called BYU and accepted their invitation to their Ph.D. program. Yikes! Brian is very nervous about all of it and so am I. Now we are begining all the prep to come down. We will get our "packet" from the program in mid May so we don't have any specific details about when it starts or anything. We have started watching the housing in Provo and actually found a little house that looked perfect and it was right by campus. It wasn't available till Fall but that worked perfectly for us. Somebody already snatched it up before we even had a chance. That makes us feel a little worried about the competitiveness of trying to find a place and our disadvantage of living too far away to see them first thing, but I am sure it will all work out in the end.
On Friday, we drove down to Springville for Gabi's princess birthday party. Meg had been excited about this for a long time. She had so much fun. All the girls looks so cute. Jeni's sister Holly dressed up like Giselle from the movie Enchanted and suprised the girls. It was amazing how much she sounded like Giselle. The girls loved it. I feel like it is something Meg won't forget.
Then on Saturday we drove down to Springville again. This time it was for the annual Droubay Easter egg hunt. This is always one of my favorite events of the year. It was hard this year because I needed to help Adin and I put Brian in charge of the camera so that left Meg off to do it by herself which she did quite well. By the time I finished with Adin Meg had an overflowing basket of eggs and I missed seeing her find them all. It's hard to split your attention. Adin got the hang of all of it very quickly and loved to plop his eggs into his bucket.

It seemed very appropriate.
Here are the kids in their new Easter clothes. I could not get Adin to hold still for the life of me. I tried to get one with both of them in it but Adin was always running out of the picture. I think that he looks like he is enjoying torturing me.

We decided to start a new tradition as a family of an Easter picnic. It didn't work to well this year because the kids were more interested in playing than eating. It was fun to spend time together though.
After Adin went to bed, Meg and I colored Easter eggs. She had fun, but thinks that she really needs to eat them all now. I keep explaining that they are no different on the inside than regular eggs that she has eaten in the past, but she thinks that they will somehow be more special since they are Easter eggs.

I put a comment under the other one that was meant to be for this one! So look at that one.
I just love the picture of them holding hands. So sweet. It does look like Adin is enjoying torturing you, it's just too fun to make mom crazy. That's how it is at our house.
